Course information

At Nottingham Law School, we are here to support you every step of the way as you prepare for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE). Our LLM SQE 1 and SQE 2 Preparation course is designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge and confidence you need to succeed in both assessments, while gaining an internationally recognised Master’s degree.
The course develops key knowledge and skills for legal practice, with content and assessments closely aligned to the SRA’s SQE assessment specification. You will have access to extensive learning resources, including online manuals, hundreds of SQE-style multiple-choice questions, structured revision materials and regular mock assessments to support focused revision and exam technique.

You will learn to think and act like a solicitor through CV-enhancing activities such as negotiation workshops, complemented by networking opportunities and guest lectures, helping you build confidence for legal practice.

You will complete a zero-credit placement with Support Through Court, a national charity which supports people facing civil and family court alone. This hands-on experience in real legal settings will develop key SQE-assessed skills and build your confidence and professionalism for legal practice.

The option of full-time or part-time study modes gives you the flexibility to work alongside your studies. This course provides an opportunity to obtain an internationally recognised master’s qualification that is eligible for the UK Government postgraduate loan.
