The College of Legal Practice offers stand-alone accredited SQE1 and SQE2 preparation courses and a full LLM in Legal Practice that includes SQE preparation. The LLM will fully prepare you for both SQE1 and SQE2 and develop your transactional and business skills. Our Masters option also means you may be able to apply for a postgraduate Master’s Loan to financially support your studies.

Eligibility requirements

UK degree (FHEQ level 6 or above) or equivalent (inc. equivalent work experience). If English isn’t the first language, English language qualifications equivalent to IELTS at level 6.5 overall with a minimum of 6 in each component (writing, listening, speaking, reading) required. Personal statement required.

In addition, a legal background in England and Wales (a relevant degree or work experience) is strongly advised i.e. covered at least three of the core foundation subjects of a Law degree (Criminal, Tort, Contract, Land, Trusts, Public Law, EU Law and English Legal System); if no legal background, it is recommended you complete the Graduate Foundation in Law first (if you are doing SLK and SLS as part of your LLM, which is most common).
